Thank you for creating and donating cuddly teddy bears to children in need. Our goal is to provide comfort and a sense of security to young ones facing challenges, whether it's in hospitals, shelters, or difficult life situations. These teddy bears symbolize our community's compassion and support, aiming to bring joy and a bit of relief during tough times.
The experience
As participants, you'll engage in the meaningful activity of crafting teddy bears. This hands-on experience is more than just a creative exercise; it's a chance to connect with a noble cause and make a direct impact. This event is an opportunity to experience the joy of giving and to understand the significant difference a small act of kindness can make.

We work to keep things as simple as possible. If you have any questions, please get in touch with your event coordinator or reach out to “Kai” (WeHero Super Dog) in the lower-right corner of this page.
Step 1: Let's get stuffing!
The most important thing is to open your stuffing prior to the activity, so the fluff can “breathe.” It will double if not triple in size outside the packaging. We don't want it to expand inside your bear.
Step 2: Legs for the bear to run to a new friend
The legs are slightly longer than the arms. Use two fingers to push a ball of fluff into each leg to plump them up.
Step 3: A throne for the bear
Next, we give them something to sit on. Take up all the stuffing, and push this to where the bear has a little seat. Then stuff his stomach and the rest of the insides, giving him a little potbelly.
Step 4: Let's get dressed!
We've provided white shirts and fabric markers for volunteers to personalize the bears. In your materials, you'll find a scrap piece of paper. Place it inside the shirt to prevent your decorations from bleeding through to the other side. Make them extra special with your own creative touch!

Step 5: Letter writing
One of the most important touches to the bears. The children who receive these bears will find great comfort and support with their new best friend. Inspire them!
A creative way to write to your recipient is from the point of view of the bear! Write the backstory — share about the bear and their journey to find a special best friend (and now they have found one)! Perhaps they traveled across the universe to find them — from outer space to the deepest ocean! Use your imagination and bring joy to a child. Use the WeHero stationary to write them a short letter. It’s very impactful to know that someone is thinking of you.

Step 6: Re-box and apply the shipping label
Using the original box everything came in, add the completed kits and reseal. Attach the prepaid shipping label and schedule your USPS pickup. You can also drop your box off at your local post office. To schedule your pickup, simply use the following link and follow the steps: www.wehero.co/pick-up/
Note: If the system asks for weight, you can enter 6 pounds and the shipping provider will update the weight automatically.
Step 7: Photo time!
Take a photo of yourself with your completed kits and share the experience with your friends and family. This is an opportunity to spread awareness and share the act of kindness. Be sure to tag WeHero when you post on social media!
