Thank you. Your time today contributes to a national effort to recognize and support educators who make a daily impact in classrooms and communities. Teachers invest significant energy, personal resources, and emotional labor to create positive learning environments. This work is essential, yet often goes unrecognized.
The packs you assemble today help meet practical needs while also offering a moment of encouragement and care.
The experience
During this event, you will assemble appreciation packs for teachers. These include useful supplies, self-care items, and personalized thank-you notes. The goal is to recognize teachers in a meaningful way, through both practical support and personal connection.
You will have the option to add a short note or drawing to each pack. These messages help teachers feel valued by their broader community. Every pack is a reminder that their work matters and is appreciated beyond the classroom.

We work to keep things as simple as possible. If you have any questions, please get in touch with your event coordinator or reach out to “Kai” (WeHero Super Dog) in the lower-right corner of this page.
Step 1: Add all the items to each bag
The inventory list below states each item that needs to go into the bag. The markers are yours to keep and don’t need to go into the bags.

Step 2: Letter writing
A handwritten note is one of the most important components of the pack. Teachers often do not hear how valued they are. Use the provided thank-you card to write a short message of appreciation. This note helps remind educators that their work matters and that their impact is seen and appreciated by the broader community.

Step 3: Re-box and apply the shipping label
Using the original box everything came in, add the completed kits and reseal. Attach the prepaid shipping label and schedule your USPS pickup. You can also drop your box off at your local post office. To schedule your pickup, simply use the following link and follow the steps: www.wehero.co/pick-up/
Note: If the system asks for weight, you can enter 6 pounds and the shipping provider will update the weight automatically.
For group shipments, please refer to the instructions set out by your team lead.
Step 4: Photo time
Take a photo with your completed appreciation packs. Feel free to share your experience with friends and family. You are helping raise awareness and recognizing the hard work of educators. If you share on social media, tag #wehero to continue spreading gratitude.

How We Offset Our Carbon Footprint
We have partnered with Cool Effect on The Mare Chicose landfill project in Mauritius to reduce methane emissions, generate electricity, create jobs, and promote sustainable development. Investing in the project helps reduce our carbon footprint and support global climate change mitigation.
Recycling is hard so we made it easier!
We build our volunteer events to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Whether it is offsetting the carbon emissions of the shipping process, using recycled cardboard for the boxes, or relying on algae based dyes, we’ve made conscious steps to ensure we’re doing right for our world.
